Meeting Demand for Green Performance
More and more shoppers seek alternative energy cars, especially drivers in California. Toyota USA and the Iwartani Corporation plan on increasing the number of hydrogen fueling stations by 25 percent. Construction will commence in early 2021 on seven new retail hydrogen refueling stations. Toyota hopes that the increase in available refueling stations will increase demand for these safe and clean cars.
How Does Toyota Hydrogen Performance Work?
The new Toyota Mirai runs on hydrogen fuel cell technology, a cleaner alternative to fossil fuels. Hydrogen fuel pumped into these cars gets converted into air and electricity. As hydrogen can be extracted from water molecules, the only thing the Mirai emits is water. Hydrogen fuel cell performance presents a cleaner alternative to other gas and hybrid cars. However, the Mirai has only limited availability at select Toyota stores.
